    Wedding hair styles

I remember how difficult it was for me to choose a hair dresser in Italy when my favourite hair stylist Shelly from Brides Hair Revisited couldn’t come with me to Italy for our wedding day!! So I’ve kept a log of beautiful wedding hair styles to inspire you. Whether you are a Boho chic bride or more traditional, a modern bride, whether you’ve got long or short hair. I hope you find some inspiration for your wedding day. Hope you like them!

Retro behive wedding hair. I went for something like this on my wedding day, but it was hot in June in Italy and my hair is soooooooo heavy!

Thank you to Alexis from OMG I’m getting married wedding blog for sharing our beautiful bridal photo shoot inspired by 1930s. It’s dedicated to my beautiful friend Francesca who sadly passed away last January. She loved Manchester Art Gallery and Alexis’ blog OMG I’m getting married – who featured images from this shoot just last week.

Thank you to all the very talented Manchester based wedding suppliers who took part in this bridal photo shoot and of course to Manchester Art Gallery for allowing us to photograph there. I hope you’ll agree the result is stunning. If you are planning a wedding in Manchester, Cheshire or Lancashire and the theme is Vintage 1930s we’d love to hear from you!! Those gorgeous columns outside Manchester Art Gallery…so beautiful and elegant! Did you know you can get married at Manchester art gallery?

Everything about this bridal photo shoot is luxurious: The hair and make up and that red lipstick!! Jenny at Gorgeous Flawless is such a talented make up artist the gorgeous wedding dress, pearls and feathers everywhere without forgetting Laura yummy cupcakes from Airyfairy in Didsbury! All the little details that make your wedding day perfect.

Claire from Blush Rose events worked so hard to make sure the wedding bouquet was complimenting the romantic colour scheme and the other lovely table decor details from Joanne at Vintage Twee and what about the stunning vintage crockery from Katie at Perfect Days Vintage??

Dodie from Dodie Brial wear designer loves the 1930s and she spent so much time re-searching styles and designs from this fabulous era to make sure her creation was authentic. We think it’s stunning and the veil completes the look perfectly. What do you think?

How to include your dog in your Wedding day

How to include your pet in your wedding day?

If you’ve decided that your dog is going to make an appearance, the next thing you want to do is make sure that dogs are allowed at your wedding venue. For example, a restaurant wedding would not be an option for you if you wanted to include your pooch. Talk to the vicar or registrar who will carry out your wedding ceremony as well as the venue to make sure all are comfortable and aware of your plans. You may need to follow some specific rules or pay an extra fee to include them.

Another place to check in with is your hotel. If you book with a hotel that is dog-friendly you’ll have a place where your dog can relax and get some space from the hustle and bustle of a crazy wedding day.

A pet can be a guest of honour and simply stand with the wedding party during the ceremony, or your pet can have a specific role (ring bearer is common) in the ceremony. But before giving your pet a starring role, think about whether this will be an enjoyable experience for him. Will your pet feel comfortable around your guests? Is he obedient and well behaved? There’s no guarantee that your pet will behave exactly how you want him to on the day of the wedding. Even the most outgoing and friendly pet can be overwhelmed by a crowd of guests.

For now let’s enjoy some wedding photographs with cute dogs

Dog ring bearers or carrying “Here comes the bride” sign? Equally gorgeous!! Here’s some of our favourite photographs. Hope you find them useful with your wedding planning.

    Valentine’s day wedding proposal

Valentine’s day is 2 weeks away, and that means you can expect to hear about engagement-ring-in-the-champagne-glass proposals galore.

We know Valentine’s day is a very romantic day to propose to your loved one but you may ask how to do it in non – cheesy way??

So we thought we’d do a wee blog post with a few wedding proposals ideas and some cute photos on how to say I Love you beside the usual flowers and chocolate.

You couldn’t ask for a better day to pop the question.  Here’s some tips for blokes planning to propose on Valentine’s day.

Valentine’s Day is the most romantic holiday of the year and has always been associated with love and lovers. As simple as it may sound, the preparations for proposing can be complicated.

You know your bride-to-be would love to have a story to share that will let the whole world know how romantic her future husband is.

Here are a few tips to help you come up with the perfect setting to propose to your future bride to show how much she means to you…

    1. If your sweetheart comes from a traditional family, asking for her hand in marriage may be appropriate. You can be sure it will go far to raising your future in-laws opinion of you if you make the effort to show them that you respect them enough to care about their blessings on your marriage.

    2. You’ve probably witnessed those awful moments when a suitor proposes on national TV…and the answer turns out to be NO! It may seem impossible for you to imagine, but before you go public with a marriage proposal, sound out the bride-to-be, her family and her friends to make sure that you are reading the signals and the answer to you will be a big smile and a big YES!

    3. Prepare ahead of time and make sure your intended will be available for your surprise. Proposing to someone over a romantic dinner is difficult if the restaurant is crowded and noisy.

    4. There may be millions of couples getting engaged on Valentine’s Day, but you are special and when you propose, it should be a reflection of who you are as a couple. Why not retrace the relationship for the big event?

Here are some romantic photographs and cute Valentine’s day ideas Hope you like them

    Proposoal Idea:

Remember these books from when we were kids? Design a personalized “Choose Your Own Adventure” book and print it out. Write it to mirror your love story (if she hadn’t met her friends for drinks that night, you two would never have met) with funny alternate options and rig it so whatever adventure she chooses, it ends up at the final page: a drawing or photo of you, down on one knee proposing where you two are standing at that moment. As she flips to the last adventure and sees that it’s the exact location you’re in, slip down on one knee and pop the question.

Or Breakfast in bed proposal with this cute toast?

    Wedding ideas for kids tables

During a few wedding consultations a few brides to be have asked me: “What would you include in a child’s goody bag at a wedding to keep them entertained?”.

Here’s a cute idea for all DIY wedding brides doing a lot of the wedding details. Put one of these on each of their plates with a blank card.. “color a card for the bride and groom” this is adorable

You see …not only we are your friendliest wedding photographers in Manchester but great at sharing cute wedding inspiration ideas.
