Hello there, we had the absolute pleasure of exhibiting at White Memoirs Vintage Bridal Fair. The location: Stockport Town Hall Ballroom also called “The Wedding Cake”. Check out the ceiling!

Rachael Adams from The Social Butterfly Events organised this beautiful wedding fair. She’s passionate about Vintage and very Social Media savvy. She rallied the troupe and packed the fair with very creative and independent retailers who share our love for all things Vintage. Sometimes exhibiting at Wedding fairs can be a bit isolating but this one was really friendly and we did our best to introduce ourselves to everybody. Rachael asked us to photograph the event and the winner of the fantastic competition: a chance to win your vintage wedding day worth £2000.
Hope you like the photos. If the snow stopped you from coming this is the list (alas incomplete we didn’t have time to photograph everybody) of the people there:
There were fascinator workshops, live beauty demos and a burlesque, jazz performer! Featuring many rather talented, independent creative wedding folks – see www.eventsbythesocialbutterfly.com but we’ll try and list as many as possible here![]()

1920′s hair and make up by the lovely Bethany Jane Davies

Carla Muncaster runs Inspirit Interiors was our neighbour and she’s an Interior designer with tons of ideas and she had this gorgeous corner display of beautiful clothes, furniture. I particularly loved the Pre-loved wedding dress on the top right hand corner.. dress eny here!!

This is Rachael announcing the winner of the competition: Ana Muntean

I wish we met Sheree Hutchinson from Cute Maps when we were planning our wedding in Tuscany. The idea of a wedding invite with a map rolled into one is just FAB! Check it out:

Scott and I had the pleasure of meeting the lovely Katie from Perfect days vintage. We will be collaborating with her again in March keep reading the blog. Should be great! For now, I just want this old typewriter!! Or I’ll settle for the candelabra centerpieces you deside Katie![]()

Edith and Violet specialise in Vintage wedding accessories for your 1930s to 1950s style wedding. I loved the pillbox hats with birdcage veils and the vintage gloves

Kiki de Ville singing away during the fair. She’s very talented and perfect if you’re looking for Vintage inspired entertainment for your wedding!

Hannah from My Crafteaday was our neighbour at the fair and kindly lent us some beautiful linen to dress our table. We think people really enjoyed her classes. I can’t think of many wedding fairs where you can do that![]()

Pebble in the pond had this lovely display of all vintage decorations, chair sashes, vintage print table runners, cake stands, glassware, linen and so much more!!!!!!!!!

Love the birdcage

We met and photographed the lovely people who run The Flower Emporium in Heaton moor Stockport check out the photos for flowers and table decorations ideas.

In between talking to loads of lovely couples planning their vintage themed weddings I had the chance to say hello to the lovely Sally O’Mara-Harding (email: sallyomara@me.com) who came from Wolverhampton to exhibit (it just goes to show we need more events like this one in the North!). I don’t need to tell you I LOVED everything she had at her stall.

Let’s not forget the wedding cakes!!! Stuart Thornley cake design is an award winning cakes and cupcakes company. Judge for yourselves, we wish we had time to sample some of the cakes… lol

More nice people to tell you about: Anna from Sweetheart Vintage Designs had a lovely stall in front of ours selling all things vintage and sparkley. A lot of visitors stopped to try their vintage style hair combs and tiaras

Matt and his fiancee’ Annabel run the fab Vintage78dj They are vintage 78rpm gramophone DJs playing big band sound of the Crooners plus 1920 1930 and all the hits of wartime 1940s. Again really really interesting people!

Remember Joanne from Vintage Twee and her cake picks we used on Beth and Simon’s engagement photo shoot? She was exhibiting in Stockport too!! I must say her stand was one of the prettiest. What do you think?
